Tyrannosaurus Rex Class by Ikechi1 Tyrannosaurus Rex Class by Ikechi1
When the ground shakes, the mighty T-Rex is near. It dominates the field and demands the attention of the mercenary team as it seeks to satisfy its terrible hunger. The Rex can shrug off attacks that would kill a lesser creature, and death comes swiftly to any human foolish enough to not maintain their distance. However the Rex is not without its weaknesses; its sheer size means the mercenaries can spot it and take shots at great distances, and confined spaces are typically beyond its reach.

The T-Rex’s favorite snacks are humans with short range attacks, the Commando and Scientist provide a greater challenge.

This is amazing and looks even better in the video game! You're seriously talented when it comes to dinos :)

I read on the site that the Tyrannosaurs in the game are bigger than the real counterparts, so I have a question: Do you know if the Spinosaurs in the game are bigger than the real Spinos or do they reach the maximum estimated size (the famous 18 meters Spino a measure that I think is higly unlikely)?

As wonderful as the model for the T-Rex (and really ALL of the dinosaurs) look, I can't help but think this big guy is smiling at us, like he's thinking "Yeah, you KNOW you wanna play as me." XD

True, true. XD But I'd give all the classes a chance to shine under my control. I'm also liking the roar made for the Rex; sounds very similar to the classic Jurassic Park T-Rex, but different enough to be unique. I'd like to think both roars could be inter-changeable, kinda like different "moods" or "tones" for a single creature.

well the bad side about being a rex, everyone wants to kill you first as you are a bigger target

Yeah, I figured. Kinda what you'd expect when your game uses realistically sized (for the most part at lest) dinosaurs.

One thing I am curious of: During the gameplay, will it be like with other similar games like Team Fortress where every player/CPU unit on either team HAS to be a different character/dinosaur? Or can there be more than one of each on either team? It's kinda hard to tell from the alpha gameplay footage, with there being either case prevalent shown.

you can have more than one of the raptors or pteranodons or dilophosaurus, they are small enough animals, the humans same as well

Ah, so that begs the question of how many members per team there usually are during standard play.

I am also curious of the Carnotaurus. Is is a playable as well? If so, I suppose that there will be another human unit to balance it out?

I am interested in playing Primal Carnage, but I don't think my graphics card can handle it. If I were able to play, I'd likely play as the dilophosaurus.

One thing I am hopeful for in the game is that there'll be at least one spinosaurus. Not because I want another tyrannosaurus vs spinosaurus battle. I don't care about that match up. It's because I like the spinosaurus model and I think it would be a shame if it were only used in a cutscene. I'd be happy with it as just a background dinosaur.

spinosaurus is in game but not playable, its planned to be more of an environment hazard so don't go too close to water

Hhmmm it looks good as far as video game/movie dinosaurs go, but there is quite a few anatomical inaccuracies. The real thing would be awesome enough witout the video game inaccuracies.
