So, I have been working on claiming the throne for literal years. For those that like this comic, no it isn't ending, but there are more than 100 comic pages out now, and I want to do more with it, but I still feel restricted by the old trappings of when it initially started out as fan fiction for the video game Primal Carnage. I have many more ideas in my head for my own story that have nothing to do with the games, at least the setting of a dinosaur island is not exactly unique in fiction (i.e Dinotopia, the Jurassic Park series, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Lost World, Valley of the Gwangi etc.). What is not legally owned by me, are the mercenary characters and the red tyrannosaurus that is based on the one used in the main game. While I maintain good relations with Lukewarm Media, the creators of the game Primal Carnage who initially gave me permission to draw their characters and do with them as I saw fit, things may change down the line, especially with COVID-19

If anyone wishes to find stuff about Igbo history, culture and mythology on their own, here is my updated list of sources. References    Achebe, N. (n.d.). Igbo Goddesses And The Priests And Male Priestesses Who Serve Them. Igbo in the Atlantic World...

Greetings, I know it has been awhile but I had to finish my capstone for my Masters degree. Now my master's degree is completed and I am in a good place with the workforce, so now I can not only continue to make dinosaur and Nigeria stuff, but I can actually work on a proper story for the dinosaurs. I've been learning a lot since I first started the comic and I would like to think I've improved as a story teller these past nine years. So I will make a new written version for Claiming the Throne, I will try and make at least 3 chapters a month or so and make sure I continue to provide dinosaur fun and Nigerian history.

Are you a paleontologist?

That is so fascinating! I've been thinking of getting into the field, but I was confused on how I would even start it. Did you go to college and study paleontology? Have you ever been on any actual digs? How is the profession overall? Is it difficult to get into the field? Have you dug any fossils?

I'm sorry if I'm getting really pushy with the questions and stuff, but it so cool to see a paleontologist on this site, who also shares the same skin tone as me! I'm really interested in your story because you achieved a high and important profession.

Studied at the University of Alberta, later ended up working as a fossil preparator at the Smithsonian for a while pre-pandemic. Been on digs in the Morrison and Lance Creek. There are two academic entry points to paleontology, either Geology or Biology. It is not very difficult, just be prepared for a lot of stuffy noses from all the dust clearing and preparing.
